I have been a painter for over 35 years, always in acrylic on canvas, except for my theatrical and mural painting, which is usually done in latex paint. Since we moved to the country in 1994 I have focused much more on landscape paintings. The beautiful forests and creeks we're surrounded by here are very inspiring. Painting directly from nature is a pleasure both for the experience and the result,but I also still enjoy creating whimsical, fantasy paintings from mental images. More likely, I will combine the fantastic and the natural in the same painting.
Of course, if you'd like to commission a painting or mural, the subject can be entirely your choice.
